(Fiction)The world was coming to an end. The scientists had all but assured us a gory blaze next week when the asteroid will hit the earth. All pretenses of finding solutions were given up weeks ago and scientists and government workers had left to spend their last days with loved ones. Lisa was one of the few to remain behind who had nowhere or no one to go to. The lab had provided her cover from the emptiness of her life and that cover was now stripped away leaving her naked and quivering with dread. Not the dread of the upcoming end. The end was most welcome. The bigger dread was that of spending the next 7 days without a purpose or a way to escape. She could always pop a pill and go to sleep like the millions who chose that way. But the scientist in her didn't want to miss seeing the grand finale to human civilization. Also these pills never worked on her. They left her with a headache and greater suffering. She had always pitied the simple minds who would fall into sleep and delusion so easily, until now that is. Maybe ignorance was bliss?
They stopped making movies years ago and all the old ones she had watched a more than a dozen times each - the ones worth watching anyways. She carelessly flicked through her contact list to see if there was any old spark interesting enough to reignite. No name was worthwhile spending a few days with, leave alone the end of existence. She was sure that even if she took the effort to contact them one by one painfully, she would get bored of them within the first couple of hours. And the remaining 6 and a half days would be even more tiresome with one other person to drag along added to her own tiresome self. Most of her friends were married and quite likely commiserating with their significant others and offspring. No... no people for her. She took in a deep breath and a let out a slow, long exhale hoping to shave off about 10 seconds from the count down clock. When she checked the clock the second hand moved but a single tick. She sighed again with frustration at what was surely a malfunctioning atomic clock. tick. tock. tick..... tock. Among the heaviness in her heart and the chaotic flashings of thoughts in her head she suddenly saw the glimpse of an idea. She stopped to look at it, but it dissolved before she could stop it. She scrambled back clumsily trying to reverse the chain of random neural firings. It was something to do with a book she read. She had thought of a guy in a suit. No, that was a dead end.. Something about the sea.. Surely yes.. Some water was involved. And something funny, for she had involuntarily smiled at the time the thought came. She struggled for some more time and then gave up. Maybe she was facing the beginning of dementia at 30. What next? menopause at 40? Suddenly she remembered that all this would be moot in 7 days. The end of civilization, she was sure, was a relief to many people. So many fears became meaningless and so many unpaid debts could be written off.
Tick. tock. tick.... tock. The positive feelings about the upcoming apocalypse gave her some peace.. Her mind was less tormented and thoughts were flying through closer to the posted speed limit rather than the usual $400 fine range. What if she could stop them completely? said a thought in her head. There ... that was something to play with. Hard enough to do, maybe. And it didn't require anyone else. But is this even possible? Will I go mad? Am I not thinking of this plan? Isn't that a thought.. A hundred such thoughts now flooded through her head at even greater than usual speed and force. STOP she shouted to herself. STOP... STOP. Suddenly everything stopped. She could see silence inside her. Nothing moved. Her command to STOP was executed. And in that silence she felt her heart beating; her breathing happening and she felt her skin touching the world around. But everything else was quiet. She could hear the faint humming of the machines in the lab and distant voices talking from far down the corridor. But the sounds were not oppressive. They were not inside her head but outside. That is weird... aren't sounds always supposed to be outside the head? Why does this sound different? Am I going crazy? How many seconds was I silent? Hey ... are they back on now? STOP she screamed again. And she was back in her silence. A little more easily this time. Her heart was beating, a bit slower now and the distant sounds were again heard. I wonder if this is what people do when they meditate? STOP! ... and again back to breathing. In a few seconds, she automatically closed her eyes so she might see her silence better. There was blackness in front of her eyes. Sort of like sleep.. but she was surely awake.. there was no doubt about that. A thought about the upcoming end of the world popped up. She shrugged her shoulders mentally as if saying "so?".. The thought went away, perhaps looking for others to torment. She found a sweet taste in her mouth. And the darkness inside grew even more darker. It was almost as if she had reached the end of the world a week before everyone else. And it was not that terrible. Almost comforting and peaceful. Sort of like she was lying on the lap of her mother and resting her head on her bosom. She had been an orphan and had never knew her real mother. But in that silent darkness she knew that she was on her lap. There was no uncertainly about it. Her mother was huge in form covering all space and yet no part of her was distant. She nuzzled closer to her mother and everything grew darker even more. Darkness covered by darkness. The idea "eternity" popped into her head and dissolved away. Darkness and silence. Suddenly she saw an explosion of light. The explosion started as a point and but immediately its bright light filled everything inside her till nothing else could be seen. She instinctively pulled closer to the mother's bosom. The light started diminishing and slowly went down to a point again and disappeared. She was back with her silence.. and her darkness and her mother.
Her eyes opened on their own accord. She didn't know after how long. It took her many seconds to make sense of the light entering her eyes and to recognize the forms around her. The entire room was crowded now and there were people sitting down all around her; touching her legs and holding her hands.. For some reason they had all drifted to her room to spend the end of the world in. But only she knew now that the world was not going to end. That her mother had decided to let the clock tick again. She slowly got up and slipped gently out of the holds of the people around her. She took a few steps, feeling as if she was floating rather than walking. She felt her face growing into a smile on its own; something she had never experienced in all her life.
The evening sun was streaming through the windows. The flowers in the garden seemed to be swaying in gentle dance and rejoicing in the happenings. They knew. She found herself gliding slowly towards the door so she could join them in their celebration of life.

It has not been easy for me to write this. And maybe it won't make sense to many. But here it is. For 30 years of my life, my quest was to find out how I could become enlightened. For the past 10 years however, it has been me trying to figure out how I got enlightened. For as far back as I can remember I have always had a thorn sitting in my head. I was never comfortable with the world. I was the odd man out. I did not fit in and something in me refused to conform. Externally I did everything I was demanded of and quite successfully according to some. But I was never completely into it. I had this voice in my head that would be a constant commentator on all happenings and a critique of anything that I did. Of course I did not know it then. For me that was life. I became a cynic, an atheist, depressed, apathetic and all combinations in between. Every few years something would inspire me to try this technique or another so I could get out of my head. Some of them never worked. Some of them did for a few days, weeks or months.

The answer to "what" made me enlightened is easy. It is the "how" for which I have no answer. In 2008 I encountered someone - quite accidentally and in no part due to any intelligence from my side. And since then the second voice in my head is absent. Whenever I say something, what I say goes into the world and doesn't come back as an echo or a criticism. When I see things, I just see them. Life is simple. I don't second guess myself. And when I close my eyes I only have silence inside. Not a dead silence.. but a compassionate, protective, beautiful silence. Even the inner chatter, if present, is more like the noise of a stream or a jungle and not like that of a city during rush traffic. I have experienced silence during some practices occasionally. But it always went away. But this silence seems to persist irrespective of my stupidity and indulgences. It feels indestructible - and trust me when I say that I have tested it to the limit - and I am now sure it would last beyond anything that happens to me.

This change in me has not always been pleasant for everyone around me. It is not that I have no "problems" with people or things. For some people around me, I have now become more "difficult" to deal with. But I find many a stranger being comfortable enough with me and coming and talking to me about their problems. Earlier in life, when I met people who had problems I would try to help them out. Analyze their situation. Suggest meditations or ideas to contemplate. Sometimes these helped. Sometimes it did not. Now when I see people having problems, I only see them wanting their problems. And them refusing to see it. I cannot suggest any technique to solve their problems. Because I never solved mine with any technique.

I tried to go back in my head and see if there is a "how" to explain the change that happened and if I can suggest it to them. But so far I haven't found it. Whenever I direct people to my master, it is not because I don't want to help people. It is just that I do not know how. Being with the master is not easy. But it is not difficult either. I cannot tell people how to be with him. And each person's story and situation is unique and irreproducible. But all I know is that there is nothing else that works. The master is your own self calling out to you. What you see is who you are. What you see is what you lack. What you see is your own unique and perfect completion. He is the goal and the path. He is the ineffable answer to the question, "how" I got Enlightened.

Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4093463867733142966.post-26085941935275462732017-05-31T22:56:00.001-07:002017-06-01T06:48:51.466-07:00Old Man Slips and Falls in IIT: Discrimination Screams DAPKOPMK

R. Ravindran (name changed) a senior citizen if 65 years slipped and fell when he was on the morning walk through IIT yesterday morning. Ravindran who is a lifetime member of the DAPKOPMK (Dravida Anna Periyar Ambedkar Karunanidhi Old People Munnetra Kalagam) since the last 2 weeks said the institute was discriminating against old people who found it very hard to walk through the long road from the entrance to the hostels. He said old people, especially from the backward communities, who constitute 20 percent of the electorate were not given equal stature in the IIT who preferred young students and middle aged teachers. This placed terrible hardship on people like him who were trying to move in the campus..

Mr K Alagiri who is the security guard at the main entrance to the IIT gate said Mr Ravindran did not have a job in the IIT nor was he a professor or Alumni. He used the campus for his walk after driving 5 kilometers in his BMW from his house in Greenways Road.

"Such talk is malicious and an attempt to deflect the public opinion from the issue at hand of discrimination of backward class old people" said Mr Moo Kannanidi in what appeared to be an old video statement with a different voice over from his house in Gopalapuram.

A huge crowd of old people gathered outside the IIT gate and the police had to use their own retired officer's corp unit personal to apply gentle force to make sure they don't break their bones. It took 8 hours for the senior citizens to travel from various parts of Gunindy and assemble outside the gate and more than 4 hours for them to slowly walk back to their respective waiting rickshaws after the protest was called off. "I have never seen a more frustrating day" said Kamalakannan DIG of Senior Citizen Affairs in the Tamil Nadu Police.

The TV Channels owing to a slow news day all stormed in on IIT Madras campus and tried to hunt down every old people they found to take their statements. The lack of old people there led to an all out melee with cameramen bashing each other up as they grabbed old people violently each way towards their camera crews.

The Institute did not issue a notice regarding this. "Modi must answer for this!" screamed an old man of 20 years from the crowds as they burnt an effigy of Narendra Modi. Judging by the reaction on twitter, we have to say the rest of the Kalagam Katchi followers feel the same. "Please consider the fact that Modi too is a senior citizen and would never willingly cause harm to an old man" said BJP Tamil Nadu head Smt Lalita Kalyanasundaram in her TV interview.

Life is a graph - where everything is connected in some way.. or rather in many ways.. to everything else. Politics, is the act of finding a weak link and creating a divide. First it starts with naming one side as A and the other as B. Then you either cut or discredit any graph connections that go from one side to another. So either you are a A or a B. You have to take sides. And across this potential voltage gradient, the politician sits and generates power and money and everything else.

So for instance someone decides that he is "poor" .. Then based on that attribute he divides the world into "rich" and "poor". Anything "rich" is the other.. Is bad. The poor, he says, are tormented. And he says that because he is tormented. And hence the poor must fight. Thus is born communism.

The same principle hold for the Aryan-Dravidian divide created by the Tamil Nadu Kazhaga Katchis. Suddenly something is Aryan or Dravidian. And if it is both, it has to be given to one side.. and then either praised or denigrated.

But reality is a bitch .. It keeps forming connections across the void created by politics. Not only in the dimension that the politician chose to create the divide - but on an infinite other dimensions that the politician doesn't even know about. The rich people can have poor relatives. The Tamil Kings (who are marked Dravidian) were Vedic practitioners (which has been marked by the politician as Aryan).

Such inconveniences continuously threaten the politician and his job is to sit on the fence and chop any such attempt.

Advaita - non dualism - on the other hand is the principle that everything exists in oneness. That the oneness transcends any apparent material graph connection - which the politician manipulates. Advaita is the apparent division that removes all divisions. While all politicians aim for oneness, they aim for it by acts of war - by destroying all cross links and destroying all people on the other side or who are trying to create a bridge to the other side.

The cunning among the readers would then ask "Isn't Advaita also a divide? Should we not, you know, live in peace and accept everyone? and live in love and harmony and all that?" This absurd naivety is the beginning of soft-theology ideologies which in a matter of time get their heads chopped off by people who do not wait for you to spin your yarn of oneness on them. The history of the world shows traces of innumerable civilizations that have fallen prey to such "softness". I am sure a countless others have disappeared without even that hint that they ever existed.

And Advaita is not liberalism either. Liberalism says "everything is fuzzy" .and so "anything goes". Let us "eat, drink and be merry". While secularism is cunning, liberalism is plain stupid. Everything that politics creates is false, but that does not mean that reality does not exist. It does not mean that a speeding car won't flatten you if you stand in it's path. The investigation into what is reality is science - Dharma. Sanatana Dharma is the investigation into that which is real for ever.

Fighting against this movement of politics - whether it comes in the name of race or gender or religion is Advaita. Sanatana Hindu Dharma is not yet another political division. It is the "division" between those who divide and those who unite. It is the division to end divisions. It is the living demonstration of 10,000 religions that have co-existed without large scale massacre and war for the past ten thousand years. So much so that the political religions who cannot understand the differences in ideologies between them have branded them as "one single religion" - Hinduism.
Chapter 1: The Yogi of Arunachala

We live in uncertain times. Perhaps all times are that way
to a person who is brooding. It is 4640 years since the beginning of the Yuga
of Kali - the age of darkness. Or the age of cleansing, depending on who you
talk to. That many years since the end of the great battle of Mahabharatha -
the one event that defined all of Bharath and it's destiny till now. But now we
have fallen back to uncertainty and chaos. It is not clear who is a friend and
who is a foe anymore. What is right or what is wrong.

I go by the name Yogi Ramveer Nath Giri and I have roamed
this great country more than three times now in my relatively short life of 25
years. Most of my years I had spent in the company of my Guru Sri Raghunatha
Giri to whom, I was told, my parents gave me as a gift when I was a child of 4.
My Guru has since taken care of me and taught me everything I know. The last
one year of being away from my Guru perhaps is the reason for this feeling of
uncertainty and doom that has been troubling me. A cloud that seems to have
been cast over the entire nation. Or maybe it has always been there and only
that I have been too happy to notice it.

The Kings have never been a part of our lives before. And
both us and the Kings have been happier for it. That is not to say that they
wouldn't want to control us Sadhus. But they never dared to. All Kings remember
the story of Lord Parashurama. Of how he almost got every King in the world
killed because one of them stole the sacred cow from his father's ashram. The
Puranas are a powerful tool to remind people of things they tend to forget in
the course of a few thousand years of peace. It is good that people remember
them. But there are new rulers now. People from the far west; from beyond the
mountains, who don't remember. Who have been travelling too long and fighting
too much to have time to learn these lessons. They have been trying to meddle
in the paths of the Yogis and have many have paid a heavy price. But because of
the fighting, all our extreme powers are
known to the common people - and they all want to have them too. No longer is a
child given to the Yogis so that he may become Shiva. But the child is given so
that some private squabble can be settled by using the powers of the Yogis. My
Guru never accepted such deals. But there are many nowadays, the whispers says,
who are not above being corrupted.

The rain feels so lovely on my skin. Especially when the day
has been hot. I did not move from my seat when it was hot and I am not moving
when it is raining. I have been sitting in this spot under the pepul tree for
almost four days now. I almost feel as if the rain is going through my body to
reach the ground and if I closed my eyes, it would actually do that. That is
because I have nothing. I am nothing. I have lived my life with nothing.
Whatever is given to me, I give it away so that I am free to walk. To sit. To
look. The only thing I carry is a tiger skin that belonged to my Guru. That was
the only thing he ever carried with him.

My Guru told me that a great yogi, an incarnation, Shiva -
Mahadeva - himself, is going to walk in this part of the country soon. This
time for a very brief period though. Maybe a year. Maybe less. Maybe more. Only
to be seen by the qualified yogis. That perhaps is the reason why I haven't
moved out of the Hoysala region for more than a year. It is not our way of life
to stay in a region for more than a week.

The Kumbha mela is approaching and I have to go there. I
must start now, if I were to reach there in a few months. Or I have to find
some mercury with which I can fly there in a few days. But my Guru never used
his power of flying. He said that we need to meet people in the villages and
take them along with us. But I dread
missing out on meeting the Lord of Lords. Maybe I am not qualified to meet him.
Five hundred years hence, he will come again. And at that time everyone will
get to be with him irrespective of their sadhana. That is what my Guru said.
But my mind doesn't feel like waiting that long. And more than a thousand years
back he had come. In a small town called Arunachala in the south. The legends
are so eloquent about the joys of his coming. About how he makes life feels
like the afternoon rain on a hot summer day. And as the water cleans everything
in me and around me, my inner eye tries to reach out for a glimpse of those
times. A glimpse of him. But somehow my vision stops just ahead of his coming.
The inner eye that shows me much into the past and future stops short of
showing him. I can't see his coming - either in the past or in the future.

Chapter 2: Creatures of the Night

It is night now and the village is very different from what
it was when Surya cast his powerful glance on it. The sounds, the wind, the
breath - everything is different. Most humans have gone to bed. Some to sleep.
The Yogi, however, does not sleep. He doesn't need to. When you are nothing,
nothing tires you. My eyes continued to be open as they have always been since
I met my Guru. The place I am sitting is near a cremation ground and many
tantriks perform their occult rituals to appeal to supernatural powers. Many dark powers are
happy to give it to them for a price. Sometimes the price is much higher than
what the seeker of greed wanted to give.
The powers of the Yogis do not come from outside. They come from within
and from the grace of the Guru. From Sadasiva. Nothing has been given for them
other than understanding that I have nothing to give. That I am nothing. They
cannot harm me or those whom I help.

I hear the scream of a woman in the dark. Not one of fear,
but a cry of victory. It could mean many things. I let it go through me and
have it leave me as I was before it emanated. A couple walk by in tight embrace
- not bothered about social stigma or shame. A second look and I realize that
they are not human - at least the girl wasn't. She has a tight grasp on the
boy's hands and is demanding his attention, praise and listening. When that
isn't forthcoming, she starts seducing him. She is extremely beautiful. But
knowing her kind, this is possibly a form that was taken because she knew it
would entice him to give her his full attention and perhaps more. For all you
know, she was hundreds of years old. And as she made love to him in the open
ground, she was constantly aware of my presence. I looked into her eyes and
throughout her courtship, she never looked away from mine either. Her hunger
seemed to have no end. One could almost pity the depth of her un-fulfillment. I
wished I could do something for her. And instantly my seat, the tiger skin on
which I was sitting, fell to the ground from where it was hovering a foot above
so delicately. I knew I did something wrong. I didn't know what it was though.

A that very moment a loud noise broke out in the nearby road
and a procession of people could be seen walking along. At the head of the
procession was what appeared to be a grandly decorated corpse. Clearly someone
important for there was more than a 1000 people travelling with his body to bid
it farewell. Followed by a large number of horses, elephants and so on. At the
lead were 12 women - clearly the wives of the person who had died. And judging
by the ash that was being strewn all over the procession, he must have been a
Sadu or a Yogi. A Grihastha - a married one - though. And an extremely powerful
one. The Grihastha Sadhus were extremely well respected. People envied their
wealth and feared their powers. Many of them lived for hundreds of years and
took on scores of wives. It was surprising to find one who looked so young. All
his wives were beautiful. The youngest could not have been older than fourteen or
fifteen. But she stood out from the group.

It is quite possible that some of the women may travel along
with the dead sadhu king to accompany him into his next life. It is a science
passed on to very few. On how to interlock two souls that they may take their
next birth together. The ignorant who don't understand it call it suicide. The
women neither looked sad nor did they look happy. They had the intense look of
the renunciates, but yet were decked full of jewelry like the Goddesses of the
temples.

The youngest of them looked at me with a inquisitive and at the same time amused look. I could
almost sense her laughing. Her eyes seemed to question my existence from its
very core. So different from the eyes of the creature I had seen earlier.. but
yet carrying an immense power in it. Had it been day, people around would have
been astonished by me, a Sadhu, staring into the eyes of a lady. But something
in her look made me unable to move my gaze away.

refers to the story that fish could hatch its young ones just by looking at
them. Such was the power in the eyes which had me locked.

I woke up feeling sore in every part of my body. Never have
I felt my physical body with this much sensation in my life. To just move my
hand or my leg seemed like an impossible task. My mind was racing to put
together my life and to give me an identity. And it was failing miserably. Who
am I? Where am I? When am I? Questions that hit me from the depth of me had no
answers from my memory bank. I noticed much ornate architecture and golden
fittings all around me. My eyes could not focus clearly but suddenly out of the
hazy surroundings, two eyes stood out and looked at me. Eyes that suddenly
calmed my chaotic and panicking mind. A voice, much more melodious than
anything I have heard said, said "Rest yourself. You have been through
much. You will have your answers in time". The power of the voice left no
choice to me but to obey them. I slipped back to sleep hoping I might wake up.

Six months have passed. I am the King of the province on
Mandya. We are from the lineage of Shaivite warriors whose job it is to protect
Dharma. The previous ruler of these lands had sided with the Mughals and tried
to sell the women of his Kingdom to them. Two weeks later our army descended on
his kingdom and in 20 minutes no trace was left of him or his supporters.
Justice is swift and merciless. That is the way it has to be. Unlike the
subjects, rulers deserve no mercy.

My previous life as a Natha Yogi seems almost like a dream.
The only thing that links me to that life are the eyes of my beloved, Mathangi.
Six months back, Bhairvaranya, a Sri Mahant of the armies of the Maha Nirvani
Akhada died by poisoning but came back to life from the crematorium. That the
person inside the body is from a different from the one who died is a secret
that no one else knows. Sometimes I wonder if I do either. This seems more me
now.

We are at war and there is no time for doubt. The Muslim
invaders have strengthened their alliances. For the past few hundred years they
had left the akhadas alone and hence enjoyed their freedom to rule. But our spies
have news of their real plans. Which is not just to rule, but to destroy the
Akhadas and impose their God and culture. This is the war that all of us have
been trained for. Six hundred years ago a great visionary, Shankara, walked
these very lands. He foresaw the invasion and created 13 akhadas - or armies -
one in each geographical region, whose job was to defend the Sanatana Dharma.
Our instructions were a closely guarded secret. We are to be in the shadows.
Never to interfere in the wars of the Kings. But the moment Dharma gets
threatened, that was our cue to act. If what the spies say are true, we must be
in a very grave situation and this ensuing battle is going to be terrible.

The soldiers of our army are all ascetics. They don't fear
death. Nor do they fear pain. Nor the next life. Their lives belong to Mahadeva

is worth more than a thousand mindless soldiers.

And I, who have never fought any creature, even a mosquito,
in my life, am tasked with protecting this realm from the greatest danger it

That is not my job. My job is to do. And to be. Both at the same time.

Today a dozen Sri Mahants from many parts of Bharath are
meeting in secret in my palace. It is the time to decide on the future of the
akhadas and our role in the history of this land. There are many yogis who
actively side with the Musalman kings because they believe they are truer to
God. I have to convince them why they are wrong. And it is never an easy task
convincing the leaders. You have to make them believe that it is their idea and
all at the same time. Otherwise the personal enmities would automatically make
each of them take the other side. Luckily for me, my Guru had been the adviser
to many smaller kings in the Maratha region. He had passed on as much knowledge
of the intricacies politics to me as he did the science of yoga and mysticism.

My heart is beating fast. Something I have never experienced
in my earlier body. I close my eyes and get back into Samadhi - the state of
oneness; with the living emptiness that is within me. My mother, Kali, who
nourishes me every second of my life is there. I go to her only when I want
something. But she is always waiting for me. Waiting with the love, affection
and acceptance that only a mother can give. I open my eyes calm and peaceful
after what seems like an eternity. Only a fraction of a second - perhaps less,
I realize, has passed on the outside. I finish the insect sound signal I had
started to make to the shadow on the other end of the courtyard. The shadow moved forward.

Seven of us are now inside the compound of the palace. Each
only a shadow on a different wall or corner. The guards will never see us
coming in or going out. The plan is simple. Kill the emperor of Delhi and all
his kin and leave before anyone sees us. This will place enough confusion in
the kingdom to keep them busy for many years. Even decades. If we are lucky.
The Sadhus never kill unless it is essential. In this night we would have saved
a million lives from torture and suffering. But only the people who can read
the future will know this.

The palaces of the Mughals are so different from the ones of
the Sadhu Kings. They are extravagant without purpose. Large, but inefficient.

difference between life and death.

The attack started at 2 am. And we were supposed to leave
within the hour. It should have been easy. But Mahadeva's plans are
inscrutable. Even to the ones who mind is filled by nothing but him. Within ten
minutes of scaling the walls of the fort, we reached the inner palace where
Akbar was sleeping. He had twenty guards and ten wives around him. His son, a
boy of 6, was sleeping in the same room. It was I who had the chance to kill
him. But I couldn't. One more of the mistakes of righteousness that I made in
my life. Something that would cost much in terms of suffering to the world. But
at that time, it felt as if I had no choice. My blade touched the kid and moved
back into the sheath. He opened his eyes and screamed. The room leapt into
chaos. Arrows, blood and screams filled the air. The Sadhus never harmed the
women. That was their code. But that did not stop the women from flinging their
daggers at them. Trapped by their own rules all of us fell.

I had knifes and arrows in my belly and my back. The blood
rushed through my wounds. I was conscious but weakening. I could heal the body
if only I could find the root of the Tulasi and the leaves of the Neem plants.
But I wasn't sure if I could ever heal the mind from the guilt that was
suffocating it. My life was not my loss. It never was mine and never will be.
But what I am, is who I had decided to be. The guardian of Dharma. And today I
had failed that. That pain made me feel that death was such a sweet alternative.
If I had used my mercury pellet I might have flown out of the window into the
courtyard. But my will failed me and soon everything was dark.

to hear. And yet for some reason I was alive. I wondered why.

Gold. The madness that takes over men. The one thing whose
glitter draws even the most learned and pious. It is the collective delusion
with which men are ruled by the kings. The delusion by which they believe they
are safe. But one that makes their life most unsafe and miserable. That is why
our Dharma tells us that God is the only one who is worthy of having Gold. The
only one who is capable of having Gold. All our Gold is in our temples.
Decorating the divine and singing his glory as the way it should be. Gold. That is what the king was after. Lots
of it. The earlier invaders had destroyed our temples and looted all our Gold.
They had taken it back to their kingdoms and become rich. But now there were no
more temples to loot. The treasury was empty and the army needed to be kept
happy. Every Islamic king knew what
would happen if the army was not pampered.

Doing anything beyond that would require them to do many distasteful things.
Most would rather give up their bodies. And judging by what was happening here,
it looks like many did. But I had a mission to do. And nothing was above it. I
agreed to help the Emperor if he would stop attacking the Akhadas and the
sadhus. He agreed without really meaning it. I could read his small mind like a
piece of paper in my hand. Little did this man know about the country he was
ruling and the powers possessed by the Sadhus who ran it.

The King, Jalaludin, was happy. His coffers were full. The army was pleased with him. The kingdom tottered about in ignorance and buzz like a drunk because of the gold that was dispensed liberally by the administration. I have had a chance to study the religion of these invaders. It was in some ways not that different from what the bairagis practice. But in many ways it was primitive and based on simplistic rules. The King was not entirely stupid though. He could see how running a Kingdom needed a different religion than one which was meant to produce enough conflict and rage to make an army. But he did not have the training or the depth to know how it could be done.

With the support of the king, Jalaludin, the akhadas were now armed and able to defend themselves. The Mughal armies have been ordered to not interfere in the affairs of the Sadhus. The Akhadas now are able to continue with their work.

The Indian Government basically runs by stealing. Stealing money from it's own people by printing currency leading up to a 10% plus real inflation rate. Stealing from future generations by borrowing money from world bank and other vultures and thereby putting the future into debt. What more, the money that they get is not really invested in ways that will offset the loss but instead used for projects that are beneficial to the officials involved, for running the government bureaucracy and sponsoring the whims and fancies of the ruling party that will ensure they come to power again.

As such it is not big surprise that Indians prefer to keep their money in Gold - a currency they trust more than what the Government prints. And now, to bring all that gold out, the Government asks people to trust that it will honor the bond that it issues for the Gold - which is something no sane person should do. If there is a run on the Gold, the Government is not above freezing all the bonds and fixing some ridiculous market value for the Gold. If there is a crisis of payments, would the Govt risk offending its foreign loaners who have bribed most of the officials in order to accept their ridiculous loans.. or would they offend their own poor citizens who have in good faith pledged their gold with the government?

This is all the more possible if the Congress comes to power since they have a history of such draconian measures - cancelling the privy purses of the erstwhile rulers though they had clear agreements entitling them to it, declaring emergency and suppressing and arresting all media and , so on. They will be all the more incentivized to do this if they figure out that the Hindu temples (which allegedly are the organizations holding much of the Gold) are the ones that will suffer by rewriting the Gold loan rules.

So basically asking people to lend Gold to the Government when they are holding it as an insurance against the Government in the first place is really silly. What India should do is clean up the governance, stop inflation, write-off all the foreign loans and make real progress is self sufficiency. Then this issue of Gold holding will solve itself out.

One of the fundamental logical mistakes the human mind does is that you extrapolate beyond the facts provided. For example when someone says: "There are two doors A and B and door A is open" many people consciously or unconsciously assume that door B must be closed. Though to most thinking people it is clear that the state of door B is indeterminate.

When you find something good, you can just state that A is good. But many people immediately draw the conclusion that everything else but A is bad. Not doing that unconsciously requires a certain degree of maturity and training of the mind.

The religions that have reached that state - Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Shaman-religions of Africa and so on, have a holistic view of life. They are pluralistic, tolerant, non-violent. They state the truths they have experienced in a simple way and invite people to experience them and improve their life.

This does not mean that they don't say anything is bad.. or accept everything. All it means is that they don't condemn others just because they found something great. They condemn things on their own merit.

However, the modern and typically western religions, suffer from this logical fallacy given that the civilizations that gave rise to them did not have much time to evolve. All of them - Christianity, Islam, Communism/Atheism - state that theirs is the only truth and everyone else must be converted or killed. These one book religions have each caused innumerable wars and suffering. Christians have killed close to 900 million people through crusades and colonialism. The Islamists whose spread from Mecca to India was filled with mass genocide and brutal torture have directly caused the death and torture of 700 million people or more. The atheists, whose attempt to spread through the world, was the cause for the cold war post colonialism have been responsible for a similar number of deaths in Russia, China, Afghanistan and so on.

When people rebel against religion what they mostly complain about are these one-book religions.

These religions not only destroy others, but they also destroy their own people by their suffocating laws and impractical and hypocritical moralities.

These one-book religions should be forced to declare that there are other paths to the truth. That alone will remove much of the misery that the people that suffer from them - both those that are a part of the religion and those who are not.

It is the one-book religions that have made people mistake and fear the power and vocal declarations of the eastern religions for intolerance rather than as the tremendous celebration of their own experience which is what they are.

Pluralism is LIFE. Even the material scientists have multiple theories of the cosmos and fight over which one fits the facts better. Such a debate and conflict is healthy and right. Religion and spirituality needs that kind of debate. And science needs to have that conversation with the people who have experienced things beyond what modern science has experienced..

But before that happens, the word religion needs to be saved from dogmatism of one-book religions. One-book religions are not religions at all, but political movements.
Anyone who has looked at currency notes closely would have observed two types of notes. The one rupee note.. and every other type of note. If you haven't taken the time to stare at the pieces of paper that control your entire life, take a look now. You have 2 minutes.

So the answer - which you would have figure out in an instant - is this: the one rupee note is printed by the government of India while the rest are printed by the reserve bank of India and have the words "I owe the bearer xyz rupees". So all currencies are promissory notes.. Sort of like a bearers bank check. While the One Rupee note is just "One rupee". Nothing else.

Money as a means of exchange.. As a convenient alternative to carrying goats or rice bags cannot be disputed. So there is really nothing wrong with money. Much of the secret behind money is hidden in the one rupee. What is the value of one rupee? What does it mean at all?

If you go to an economist he would give you a long story about Gold standards and Dollar standards and interest rates and unemployment. But fundamentally the truth is this: that money is a hoax. If "they" can convince you that their piece of paper has value, it has value. Otherwise is it is worth less than toilet paper. This is the low down on Money. It is a collective delusion. Something that we all agree.. Or by our lack of understanding end up following by default.

If you make a group of people believe mica is awesome, mica becomes valuable. Everyone wants it. And the guy owning mica becomes rich. The countries that have mica become powerful. The countries that don't become poor.

You may ask.. But aren't there things that are directly useful. Like say gasoline? Or wheat. Yes. But just like the one rupee note vs all other notes, they are all intermediary values that rely on an ultimate value - the one rupee, that someone just made up.

So what do all these economists like Amartya Sen and the likes who get Nobel prizes do? Their job is to justify someone else's idea of money. They are paid clerks who get praised for ensuring that the scam called money that is defined by the USA, the world Bank and others is accepted. Their job is to keep the illusion going. To scare people who try to leave the game because it is unfair. To hide the truth that ultimately the so called "global economy" is kept alive with media brainwashing, sepoys like Sen and a powerful army and nuclear weapons.

Now, there is no problem with someone creating an idea of value and playing a game - like in monopoly. We agree on the rules and play the game. Some win and some lose.

But the serious problem with the economy today is that the game has become too serious. People's lives have started depending on it. Starvation happens. Unemployment. Lives ruined. All because people are not allowed to leave and start their own game.

Having a roof on your head is a fundamental right. In olden days if you wanted a house, you go cut some trees, get some mud, find some land and build a house. But now most people end up spending 30-40 years paying for their house! Their entire life is wasted thinking about mortgages, refinancing, inflation and so on. What stupidity!

The problem with the current economic system is that it was created by people who had a wrong idea of life. They believe life is tough. That we have to compete. That everyone has to struggle and suffer. Hence the system - born out of scarcity - reinforces scarcity.

Reality, however, is entirely different. Life is abundance. Life is joy. There is no scarcity in life unless you make it yourself. Wealth is whatever makes you joyful. And in reality, anything you want can make you happy. So there is an infinite amount of wealth in the world. You can make wealth just by your will. And you can gather a group of friends who feel the same and enjoy it. That is the economy of abundance. That is the way wealth was viewed, created and enjoyed in India. That is the concept of Lakshmi - of abundance, auspisciousness and infinity.

When you work with this scarcity mindset, your wealth depends on others believing in what you have. And you having more than others. Hence you are constantly trying to make others believe in your standard. That is why trillions of dollars in spent by the haves to keep the have nots poor. Because their wealth depends on others poverty. If you believe in the fundamental lie of limited resources and survival of the fittest, this would seem inevitable. But when you start questioning the basic assumptions, the entire charade falls apart.

Bharathi, a great poet from south India said: "If a single man lacks food, let us destroy this world". This is what he meant. If the game goes so far as to interfere in anyone's life, it is time to wind up the game.

So is India poor? My resounding answer is no. On the metrics that matter India is way better than any country. But for the stupid people living in cities who have been brainwashed by western media into believing their idea of money, like Amartya Sen and his lot, India looks like a poor country. Poverty is in the mind. I know many would swing back with number of calories eaten, clothes worn etc etc. But you must understand that all those metrics are made up by countries who want you to be poor to become rich. If we discovered an alien race with advance technology, will life in the US become a poverty stricken hell hole? The answer is: only of you want it to.

So the first step out of poverty is not competing in someone elses rules. The first step is understanding that life is good and wealth is infinite. That is the Vedic way of making wealth. When you understand the basics of wealth, life is filled with joy and you experience a life of abundance. That is the significance of goddess Lakshmi coming out of the churning of the milky ocean. The churning indicates going within yourself. And that is where wealth is to be found.

To learn more about money be sure to attend this 2 day event by Swami Paramahamsa Nithyananda - the ultimate authority on consciousness, the mind and society. Who unlike the western organisations, is intent on making you free and not live life as a slave to vested interests. Many car makers such as Volvo, Audi etc. as in the ad below are releasing self drive cars cautiously marketed as "drive assist" "safe driving" and so on this year. But be very clear that this is just a clever move till they eventually take away human driving - and that is not necessarily a bad thing.
We are the last generation to know what it means to defragment a hard drive. Or the sound of a modem connecting to the internet. Looks like we will also be the last generation to be driving our own automobiles.

Year 1: Drive assist cars introduced. They can caution you during dangerous situations - hidden pedestrians, blind spots etc. They do parallel parking on their own. They warn you when you exceed the speed limit. They track your teenager wherever he drives. They are in expensive cars.. so everyone wants them but most cannot afford them.

Year 2: More cars and cheaper cars start having these features.

Year 3: Drive assist made mandatory for at-risk drivers - like people with low vision, drivers above 70 yrs, drunk drivers, drivers with more than 3 tickets, those with a learners permit and so on..

Year 4: People find that self driving - I mean self-assist - technology saves them money. They save on fuel due to uniform driving. That they save on time as they can work during commute. They have more car space for sitting without the steering wheel. Insurance agencies give discounts to self-assist cars since they have less accidents. At some point the savings become more than the cost of the technology so everyone starts to install them

Year 5: Self driving cars talk to each other and to the traffic signs. They know about upcoming lights and slow down.. or speed up. They are nice to each other and give way to a car in need. People driving their own cars are cut off from all these benefits. Cars are made cheaper (maybe even free) by Ads and they will drive you to the shopping places recommended by the cars sponsors.

Year 6: Self driving cars who are travelling to the same location can hook up to each other for specific segments and save fuel - some kind of automatic car pooling. After leaving you at work, your car can go out and work as a taxi, earn you some money and be back in time to pick you up. Special engine cars are built that can efficiently drag along a bunch of other cars over long distances making the cost of the car travel similar to that of public transport and also remove the needs for larger batteries in the cars (and yes.. all cars will become electric by this time)

Year 7: Special highways and roads are built that only allow self driving cars because they can drive at 300 mph without causing accidents as they know where exactly each other car is. These highways can cross each other without needing traffic lights or stop signs since the system knows how to self regulate through intersections efficiently.

Year 8: More and more highways become self-driving only..

Year 9: Manual driving - is renamed as Jay driving by Google and is banned in more than 30 states. We have special driveways in Montana and other remote places where manual driving is allowed.

Year 10: Children read in history books about the primitive old days when people used to hold a round stick and use it to move their cars instead of just telling it where to go. Where cars used to hit each other and people died because of that.

Year 101: One day all the cars collectively get depressed and drive over all the people and throw their occupants and themselves over a cliff. All humans die except for a few who stayed in the remote caves in the Himalayas and some others in parts of Africa.. and we begin the human civilization afresh again.. A few thousand years from that point some smart person thinks "Why should we waste our time driving.. why can't our cars drive themselves" :)

Speech has never been free. It costs money to get your point of view out on TV. It costs money to get something printed on newspapers. Yes they are all sold - whether explicitly or through a quid pro quo arrangement. It costs money to get your book published and sit on the shelves. Even the internet - supposedly free - costs money if you have anything important to say. You have to hire a SEO firm or pay facebook and google for adspace and result ranks.

If you are saying useless stuff, then yes, the "wisdom" of crowds works and your content can go viral. But it never works for anything of true value - which inherently is contrary to the way the population thinks. All great revolutions go against the grain of common wisdom. And it is never the mainstream media that makes the information come out.

Free speech is a ploy to keep your own "market" protected and make others open up theirs. Some people have money - they are the vaishyas, the businessmen. Some have power - and these are the kshatriyas, the politicians and kings.

The folks with money complain against the folks who have power (which ultimately comes from their guns and handcuffs) and hence the noise against censorship and the cry for free speech. The folks who have power complain against the control of the folks who have money - whether it be from this country or outside - and try to control their influence on their kingdoms.

The intellectuals, the folks who have mind power - the brahmanas, are really under the control of their conditioning. They only argue for the prejudices they have been brought up with in school - whether they are arguing for the supremacy of the white civilization (western-ism), or the idea of equality (aka socialism), or the virtue of selfishness (capitalism), or defending atoms and molecules (materialism) and so on.

The common people (pretty much the rest of us) - the Sudras, just want our entertainment, and all these other people trying to sell their ideas are just distractions. If you can spend money to reach them .. or use your control and censorship power to force your ideas.. or use your brains to make your content entertaining enough to sneak in your idea in-between, then you have their attention for a fleeting 20 seconds.

Speech isn't, and has never been, free. It is just a bunch of vested interests trying to control what we see or hear or think. Free Speech is a marketing word .. just like democracy, secularism, patriotism, equality and so on. Its a way to make others open their doors while keeping yours closed.

I am not saying that is right. All I am saying is this is how it works. We have to understand the scam.

The people who want you to be really free are the ones who are most often painted as villains and comedians to be made fun of - for they threaten ALL these vested interests including what you believe to be your "own ideas".

Wake up and look out for yourselves. Free yourself... ALL the way..
February 1st, 2015 I happened to have a chance meeting with Sri Mohan Bhagawat ji - the supremo of RSS, the organization that put Narendra Modi on the throne of Delhi.
I had accompanied a friend Brahm Aggarwal who runs a Hindu University in the US and is also a successful businessman to the 5th International Conference of Elders of Worlds Ancient Cultures and Traditions at the Ganapathi Sachchidananda Ashrama in Mysuru organized by the RSS in Mysore. http://samvada.org/2015/news/bhagwat-at-iccs-meet-mysuru/
After the morning program at around 2 pm in the afternoon we were called in to meet Mohan Bhagawatji. After Brahm Agarwal talked to him and was done, out of the blue I found myself face to face with who is arguably the most powerful man today in India. He looked at me to ask what I wanted.. And as always I had only one issue to discuss - the issue which I felt has far reaching consequences for India and the world: The illegal harassment of my Guru, Swami Nithyananda by the media, the police, the legal processes, the politicians and what not.

Luckily I had with me fool proof evidences that showed that the case against Swamiji was foisted.

Medical records that showed that the fake victim had many STDs and affidavits of doctors clearly stating that with such a disease profile one cannot have a relationship even once - leave alone 50 times - without transmitting the disease. And that given Swamiji's tests show no affliction that the allegations of rape are false. http://nithyanandatruth.org/2012/08/08/false-rape-accuser-has-4-stds-u-s-medical-records-prove-it/
.

The recorded audio conversation of Kalyanaraman who openly admits to being the mastermind behind the false rape case and the offer to withdraw the case if he was given 75 lakhs and certain properties. In the conversation he clearly alleges that S Gurumurthy RSS ideologue was one of the persons behind the attacks.. and also other RSS figures such as Mahohar Schinde and Kishan Reddy http://nithyanandatruth.org/.../kalyan-raman-the-behind-the-scenes-conspirator/
.

I also had the public confession in front of the commissioner's office Chennai by SunTV COO Hansraj Saxena stating that Sun TV was behind morphing of the video and that they have a regular practice of extorting prominent people and businessmen. http://tiny.cc/saxena

.

Testimonies by 4 world renowned experts to the US courts showing how the video of Swamiji can be shown to be morphed. How the TV on the screen is not flickering at it normally should, how the eye movements of the people don't correlate to the events, how the video is being edited and overlaying images and videos have been used etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFa8-kSUmq8
.

How all these have helped us win the 2 cases filed by the same fake victims in the US and not only that.. they have been fined almost 3 crore rupees each for making these false claims

S. Gurumurthy, Auditor
and Conspirator

I had also wanted to talk to him about the infamous S Gurumurthy of the RSS who had continuously run the virulent campaign and attack against Swamiji out of jealously and bigotry. Gurumurthy, an auditor by profession and conspirator by night is a well known name in South India. His main talent seems to be constantly engaging in politicking and attempting to take over or destroy what others have built. Some years before he had engaged in attempts to take over and change the leadership of the 2000 year old Shankara Mutt at Kanchi when Sri Jayendra Saraswathi was going through persecution by the media and dirty Tamil Nadu politics.

And in 2010 he tried to do the same thing with the Nithyananda Ashrams. When the attempt to do that failed, he went on virulent campaign against Swamiji by turning all the powers of media and law enforcement against him. It became clear to us as time passed that the entire attack even prior to the SunTV extortion was masterminded by him and his sidekick R Kalyanaraman. Sometime earlier he has written an abusive article about Swamiji in the RSS mouthpiece Vijaya Bharatham. Here is the letter he sent to Sri Nithya Bhaktananda in trying to egg Swamiji to resign as head of the Ashram!

His presence was a great danger to Hindutva and when the organizations upholding Dharma are destroyed, the RSS would end up just being a terrorist and political group. It was this danger that I wanted to convey to Sri Mohan Bhagwat.

In the short time I had, I quickly told Bhagawatji all the facts of the case and why he should interfere and make sure that these renegade RSS people do not spoil the future of Swamiji and hence that of India and the world.

Knowing his reputation, I expected some action on the matter. However I was completely disappointed when he said that Gurumurthy was the person who was handling this issue on behalf of the RSS.. that he is the person authorized by him and RSS to negotiate with us. I tried telling that he was the one behind the attacks on us based on empty rivalry and greed. But I don't think I got through.

Since then my attempts to meet Mohanji have not borne fruit. Clearly someone is working hard to keep the truth away from him.. and one wonder who was the Sakuni who is powerful enough in the Sangh to throw the wool over the eyes of the Beeshma Pitama of the RSS.

Doctors have not stated that he is capable of performing a sexual act

Noted that Swamiji's blood shows no sexually transmitted diseases including Herpes. This clearly shows alleged rape victim's allegations of rape are false as she has 4 incurable and highly contagious STDs which spread by mere skin to skin contact, while Sri Nithyananda Swami has none.

CID has ruled out his having had unnatural sex (as he was accused) . This clearly shows alleged victim of Section 377 Vinay Bharadwaj's allegations are false.

Very low Testosterone levels of 12.9 ng/dl – while the lowest level for adult male is 250 ng/dl

A friend of mine posted this quote by Dr Richard Feynman - a famous Nobel Laureate for those of you who do not know.

"I have a friend who’s an artist and has sometimes taken a view which I don’t agree with very well. He’ll hold up a flower and say “look how beautiful it is,” and I’ll agree. Then he says “I as an artist can see how beautiful this is but you as a scientist take this all apart and it becomes a dull thing,” and I think that he’s kind of nutty. First of all, the beauty that he sees is available to other people and to me too, I believe…

I can appreciate the beauty of a flower. At the same time, I see much more about the flower than he sees. I could imagine the cells in there, the complicated actions inside, which also have a beauty. I mean it’s not just beauty at this dimension, at one centimeter; there’s also beauty at smaller dimensions, the inner structure, also the processes. The fact that the colors in the flower evolved in order to attract insects to pollinate it is interesting; it means that insects can see the color. It adds a question: does this aesthetic sense also exist in the lower forms? Why is it aesthetic? All kinds of interesting questions which the science knowledge only adds to the excitement, the mystery and the awe of a flower. It only adds. I don’t understand how it subtracts."

- Richard Feynman

While it does sound sincere and maybe even profound, I don't - with whatever little humility I am capable of - quite agree with Mr Feynman (of whom, I must admit for the sake of full and fair disclosure, I have been a big fan of). The problem is not really with science - which we can roughly summarize for the purpose of this post as "the processes of observation and deduction of conclusions based on logical inference based of these observations", but with the space from which the observation or acquiring of said knowledge happens.

The problem with science is not that it observes more or observes less, but it leaves the observer out of all observation and pretends that there is something called an objective universe that exists "outside".

And this produces - if you take it to its honest and logical conclusion - a dead lifeless dull universe. Anything of value, anything of excitement, anything of joy, anything of beauty exists because of and in fact IS the observer. The universe - which when stared at closer and closer we will realize is but emptiness - does not actually exist independent of who is seeing it.

And yes, science will eventually be forced to see the observer.. but only after a long process of constipated living where they suck the life out of everything that they come across - including potential girl friends or partners - purely because of their refusal to look into or acknowledge themselves - which in turn is possibly born out of some childhood incompletion with their parents from where they got the feeling that they are inconsequential

The problem is not with science.. but the little hurt children in the denial-of-themselves who have hijacked the term scientists and made it reflect their violence and loneliness. That is why Feynman developed the Atom bomb that killed lakhs of human beings and died without the least bit of remorse for being a part of the effort.
Readers of my blog should be quite aware of my dislike of the news media and their double standards, pro western fads and general life negativity.

But my experience with them hit rock bottom today as I saw face to face first hand the terror that media has unleashed in the country. I was lucky to get away with my life as almost 50 to 60 hooligans pretending to be journalists tried to bash into my car trying to get a better view inside.

And as I left the Victoria Hospital where Swamiji had come for a medical test, the next 30 minutes is the closest I have come at being in a James Bond movie thriller car chase. We were chased by 20 vans from Various news - rather terror - houses each competing with the other to grab a closer view at the vehicle. They protruded their vile filthy cameras into any gap they found. I almost vomited at the vulgarity and crudeness that the news media has degenerated to!

And finally the chase continued as we headed back to the ashram and eventually when they caught up with me they bashed my car with stones and tried to drag me out - I managed to escape quite narrowly thanks to the intervention of people at the gate. And the funny thing is, they are upset with the fact that I video taped their filthy chase! Can you top that for absurdity??

I am no longer surprised why Indian news media is negative. I am not shocked at them making a porn show of every bit of news they can find. I am not surprised that they are behind all the blackmailing and terror in the country. It all make sense now. It is not media. It is a group of low class thugs.

You all remember the story of the assam girl whose molestation was created by the newslive channel reporter just to make a news item. And the infamous Bharka Dutt prostituting her news. If you thought these are an aberration and not the norm, think again!

The lack of revenue in news has made all the decent people leave. And what is left is the ultimate scum of the country. I would have to apologize to scum to use it as a comparison. But language fails to provide me a suitable adjective for such filth.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Couple low class filth with absolute power and we have pretty much the worst case scenario. Every institution in the country is scared if the media - law makers, judiciary, the police, industrialists, politicians and surely the common man.

And thus is born the new face of terrorism in India. Ultimate Evil and Unchecked by any control.

They peddle porn without qualms in the name of news. They spread lies without a second thought. And today I saw that they are open to killing too. Money and TRP is what they want. And they'd do anything for it. #MediaHooliganism and #NewsPornography are the greatest threat to India.

The only hope against the monopoly is social media - which is as yet uncontrolled by these mediocre minds. Before that window closes please spread the word so everyone sees that we have a common enemy. Let this understanding be the beginning of the destruction of the devil that is news media in India.

This will blow your mind away! Starting from this paper in Nature Targ & Puthoff (1974). Information transmission under conditions of sensory shielding , there have been a number of studies in universities around the world attempting to demonstrate extra sensory transfer of information as mentioned in this summary Bem & Honorton (1994). Does psi exist?. But what we are seeing here (in the 21 day training) and at the Nithyannada gurukul is something remarkable. While all other studies are trying to prove that the perceptions are slightly better than random chance, we are seeing close to 100% accuracy among many kids and for more complex tasks such as reading a full book!
Stay tuned for exciting times.
I read this article many years back and always wanted to share it but never found the original to share out. I still can't find it.. but here is what I remember of it.

This was written by a reporter who was covering some calamity - floods or war .. not sure. Food was scarce and the few food trucks that managed to reach the place found huge crowds of people trying to get at the food. They managed to use force and make long lines and ration the little food out to as many as possible. The reporter noticed a little girl who was standing for almost the entire day in the line and when she finally got her turn, she was given two bananas. As she was walking away two smaller kids rushed to her begging for food and without hesitation she gave each of them one banana - no splitting it three ways.. or keeping something for herself. And surely she must have been hungry because there was no food available there. Seeing this the reporter had tears in his eyes.

And he concluded the article saying: "These are the moments when we wonder why there is so much suffering on this planet.. and they make us ask whether God exists at all.. And to the people with that question, the answer I have to give is this: Yes. God does exist. And today... I have seen her with my own eyes"

That last line never left my head. And for some reason I remember it very often nowadays. "Yes. God does exist. And today ... I have seen her with my own eyes."

A growing trend I am noticing nowadays, after having experienced the intense activism of the Nithyananda Sangha, is the way everyone is my old world is comfortable with mediocrity.

While I am all for appreciating the small things in life, I am seeing there being an undercurrent of "having given up on the big things of life".

Poverty - "we don't know how to fix it". War and cruelty - "too big for us to do anything about". Corruption - "India is never going to change". Westernization and depression among our kids - "They will struggle and and find their own way. Didn't we?". "But did you see the beautiful flowers growing in our garden?". Seems innocuous. Almost cute and maybe even profound. But underlying the apparent appreciation of life is a deep rejection of it and resigning to a life of mediocrity.

I do not find it cute. I find it dangerous. In the name of acceptance we are leaving a life of struggle and shallowness to our children and preventing them from the possibilities of living a life that is so much greater than what we are setting them up for. Surely they deserve better and so does our world.

Non duality - Advaita - is not oneness or monism. It means there is no two. Not one either. It is infinite. It is that the infinite comes within your experience! This is the experiential expression of Advaita. That is why the Sanatana Hindu dharma allows all of us to become Gods without anyone needed to police. All of us are Gods. You just have to establish yourself into the state of completion. Hindus do not believe in ONE god. Advaita does not support the concept of one God. It allows for infinite Gods. All of them infinitely powerful. Without the need for any supreme Godhead. Only this experiential expression answers all the questions that comes up with all the philosophies. Including agnostic philosophies such as Buddhism and atheistic philosophies such as Caravka.. This is one of highest experiential expression of Advaita which is the core of Sanatana Hindu Dharma. Hinduism does not believe in one God. Not multiple Gods. But infinite Gods. Without requiring with any single Godhead to regulate.
I break the myth of oneness. No debate can be solved.

God in Hinduism is not a grumpy old man with a white beard living on the clouds who controls your life and the universe as he pleases. Confusing the word God as used in the Old Testament with the Vedic concept of Brahman in Hinduism by early European translators is one of the biggest reasons for misunderstanding Hinduism, its Gods and Goddesses and its living incarnations. In the rest of the article, for the sake of simplicity, I am talking about mainstream Hinduism as it exists today rather than the hundreds if not thousands of schools of thought that really make up the collective of Hindu network of religions.

Confusing the word God as used in the Old Testament with the Vedic concept of Brahman in Hinduism by early European translators is one of the biggest reasons for misunderstanding Hinduism.

Though Hinduism worships God in a number of forms - and ultimately in every life form and in every part of creation - Brahman fundamentally is nameless and formless. It is pure consciousness and bliss. Experiencing this consciousness - and hence your permanence - is the goal of life as per Hinduism. The basic statement Hinduism makes is that consciousness pre-dates matter. However, consciousness can associate itself with matter - appearing to but ultimately not really being bound to it. This is why Hinduism is not at odds with evolution - like some atheists continuously assume and challenge. The body itself might evolve in whatever way, but the consciousness that chooses to work through the body is the one that gives it it's life, intelligence, intuition, creativity and so on to the extent that the biology of the body permits its expression.

We'll come to the proof or the basis of all this later on.. But at-least if you are questioning or making fun of a religion, please make fun of the right religion. Most of the atheists' problems with religion are related to Christian and Islamic concepts and theories.. and or about caste-ism and denigration of women which are problem that span all religions in India and in fact in different forms - subtle (if you identify with that culture) or not so subtle (if you are looking at it as an outsider) - in all cultures around the world. I could spend the next many years posting Stalin/Lenin jokes because communists are also atheists. But it wouldn't be quite helpful.. or even funny after a point.

Coming back to Hinduism, the various forms of Gods Hindus worship are symbolic representations of energies and qualities that help you move towards a better experience of life and eventually move towards the experience of Brahman. Some of these Gods might have been real individuals who expressed those qualities at the time they lived and have hence come to be known for it.. For instance, talking very hypothetically, Gandhi might at some point be worshiped as a God representing the principle of non-violence. None of these individual attributes are absolute in all circumstances though - and that is why there are so many stories that show people the limitations as well as the value of each of these Gods. For instance, there is a story of Brahma (the God of creation.. not Brahman the pure consciousness) and Vishnu trying to reach Shiva's head and feet respectively and failing. The story is symbolic of explaining how you cannot reach the state of pure consciousness merely through material wealth (Vishnu) or the intellect (Brahma). It does not mean the Gods are fighting in a petty way as people assume. Lakshmi represents the concept of wealth as an overflowing abundant flow while Kubera represents wealth as static accumulation of material. Shiva amongst other things represents the concept of causeless auspiciousness - the understanding that life is complete and perfect. And so on.

Worshiping is not the same as prayer. Worshiping is enabling your own self to express the energy represented by the form. You are the God who answers your prayers.

Hindus worship these forms because worshiping (wrongly translated as prayer) is a very powerful method of imbibing the energy (or the concept) represented by that God. It is a very easy yet very effective way to program your subconscious because the subconscious reacts to the human form much more easily that when imbibing an abstract concept. This is why, for instance, the currency bills carry the face of a person. People are found to be many times more likely to detect counterfeiting with faces than with any other generic picture.

The various aspects of the Gods such as their many hands, the weapons they carry, Ganesha's elephant face etc symbolize different powers and abilities once can acquire. They have been designed in such as way that meditation on the form of the God - even without intellectually understanding each symbolism - helps you imbibe the concept behind it very deeply. For instance, while one can explain the principle of feminine energy and power over a 6 week course to someone, just looking at the form of Goddess Durga gives them that experience.

Puranas: wrongly translated as Mythology

The stories of the Gods and Goddesses are not allegorical or imaginary like the western mythologies. They are poetical representations of history. The Hindu seers recognized that the Universe operated on patterns that repeat at every scale. For instance the concept of creation, destruction and sustenance are applicable to the constructs of the mind, our bodies, and to the external universe at large. It also applies to social structures and families and so on. So typically the historic stories of Hindu puranas (wrongly translated as mythology) also represent some of the constructs or patterns of the philosophy.

Sometimes they are modified to more clearly represent a concept. For instance if you go through these talks you will see the symbolism behind the Mahabharata war (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmAL1nSjMVk) or Ramayana as seen from the point of view of the journey towards enlightenment. But that itself does not mean that the stories are completely from someone's imagination to represent the concepts. The more likely scenario is that they are historic. But maybe a little embellished or made more poetic in parts. The trick is to recognize which is which. But unfortunately that requires a little bit of patience and some familiarity with the fundamental philosophy. Many things that people assume to be exaggerations are actually factual.

The Spiritual vs The Material

But beyond form worship through forms, Hinduism has this core part which is spirituality. Spirituality is fundamentally based on the thesis that human beings can directly experience this Brahman or pure consciousness inside them - and if I can just get a little ahead of myself - AS them. (There are different schools that talk about how close you can get.. but for the sake of this introduction those are advanced topics that we can defer). Moving towards experiencing the conscious part of you - as opposed to the programmed mechanical structures of YOU - the body and the brain - is the goal of Hinduism.

The side effects of becoming more conscious are, among other things, creativity and intuition since you can find breakthroughs beyond simple logical extensions to existing thought. And this does not refer to being creative just to find new scientific discoveries. It can be a part of finding ways to resolve day to day conflicts or problems in your family, or society or your company. So basically the spiritual path, Hinduism believes, is not at odds with any other so called material way of life. The stress is on the space from which one operates - whether it is bound by the past emotional traumas and incomplete cognition.. or whether it comes from a space of consciousness and free will. There are some traditions that use austerity (which is not poverty) as a way to stay conscious - but living in poverty is never the ideal life that Hinduism promotes.

Hinduism does not distinguish the spiritual from the material. However it does have a concept of dharma.

Dharma is not morality

Anything that moves you towards experiencing more and more consciousness is dharmic (wrongly translated as Good). This can be different for different people based on where they are in evolution. For instance, for a person A, learning to be truthful can make him more conscious because lying has become a pattern in him. For another B saying the truth might have become a compulsive behavior and hence breaking that pattern is dharmic. This is one of the reasons why dharma in Hinduism is not so easy to define and causes conflicts both internally and outside. The idea of dharma is very closely related to each individual's path towards becoming more conscious and may differ from someone else's ideas. For the mathematically inclined you can approximately think of morality as a absolute position and dharma as a first or second order derivative. So whether you are moving in the right direction towards your innate nature is more important than where you are.

The western civilizations whose rules of right and wrong are based on social good define it in absolute terms. Hinduism also recognizes actions that need to be done for social stability. And it also recognizes deep patterns - collective delusions - that are common across people in a particular society. For instance say the idea of money.. or fear of the sky falling on the head and so on. And these may provide the basis for dharmic rules that apply to a large part of a specific society. But these rules change over time (or yuga to yuga) based on the mental constitution of society at that point. More on that later when we talk of incarnations.

But ultimately the concept of dharma is personal in Hinduism. Hinduism really does not preach morality and Dharma is not morality.

Shraddha vs Faith

The Hindu word Shraddha does not mean faith. Hinduism does not require one to have faith blindly. But.. it does require one to have Shraddha. Shraddha is the stability to try something authentically. To give an analogy, when someone says that there is a bus that goes to Mysore that stops every hour a few streets away. Shraddha is making the best effort to get out of bed, go there, wait for the maximum of an hour and take the bus. But when you do all this, if you do not find a bus, then it is not required of you to imagine a bus standing there.

Now the question most people have is that they do not trust enough to even try what is said. Maybe in the past they have been cheated .. or they have not tried authentically and hence not seen the results. And this has happened many times. But moving ahead even in this situation by not giving up on yourself and others is Shraddha. Note that this is not specific to spirituality alone. The concept of Shraddha applies to any endeavor that your take up. For, the opposite of success is not failure. The opposite of success is giving up. Shraddha is the principle of not-giving-up..

Or Why the Anti-Superstition Bill is Extremely Dangerous to Hinduism?

The Maharashtra Government issued the ‘Anti-Superstition and Black Magic Ordinance’ in a hurry on August 21, 2013 succumbing to pressure from certain groups in the wake of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar being shot dead by unidentified assailants as an knee jerk reaction. This is hardly the way to bring legislation which has been contested over the past 7 years! Surely something is not straight forward about it..

The main purpose of the bill is to take control of what you can believe in or not believe in. On what is considered science and what is superstition. The bill is just the first step. It is now your job to prove what you believe in.

Pretty soon they can close down temples and take away the gold they have because the atheist authors of the bill believe that God is a superstition.

I can't explain the ridiculousness of the bill except by showing an analogy. Using the Anti-Faith Bill as basis, I have made a new bill to address the more immediately social problem of Amitab Bachchan fans on the rampage in India..

I present to you the Thinking of Amitabh Bachan Bill. It has 9 clauses which are punishable offences as per the law. (And for all those who are not too familiar with sarcasm, note how the crimes are punishable irrespective of whether the person committing is "Thinking of Amitabh Bachchan" or not)

Thinking of Amitab Bachchan and chopping someone with a knife into extremely small pieces.

With the objective of pleasing Amitab Bachchan kidnapping kids and selling them as slaves

Make financial profits by collecting money for an Amitabh fan club taking money from people and then buying jilabis instead (Note that creating an Amitab Bachchan fan club itself is perfectly alright as long as he is dead). The stress is on buying Jilebis

In the pretext of appreciating Amitab Bachchan do something gruesome or inhuman such as sacrificing people or torching competing movie theaters

Trying to act like Amitabh Bhachchan or encouraging someone to act like Amitabh Bachchan and potentially making a fool of yourself.

Create fear in people by claiming that you or someone else is Amitab Bachchan and make them pee in their pants .

Accuse a woman (see we are pro women!) of being anti Amitabh Bachchan and restrict her routine

Claim that a differently-abled (see we are pro people with disabilities!) person is actually Amitabh Bachchan in disguise and make him act in movies

Pretending to be Amitabh Bhachchan and as a result of this managing to get a man/woman/differently-gendered person laid

And borrowing from the supporters of the Anti-Faith bill, here is why the government should pass the "Thinking of Amitabh Bachchan" bill:

Why are people protesting against these innocent laws?? Don't they realize that killing people and torching them or cheating is bad? What kind of society do we live in? I can't understand how people seem to think that these laws are against Amitabh Bachchan? We only condemn the actions done on his name. Not the actor himself. We got a letter from his publicist asking about whey he was being discriminated against like this and the other actors are not being talked about. Don't you know that there are many people who could potentially be called Amitabh Bachchan and not just him? Why does he feel singled out?

And don't worry we'll create new bills with a cross product of all the other actors and actresses on one side and the entire IPC code on the other (except for all the Catholic and Islamic actors - because you see no one can do any crime once they think of either of them). Should keep us and the media busy for a long long time! Talk of job security. YES!

Here are some outrageously uninformed comments from Narendra Dhabholkar, the author of the anti-faith bill, related to Hinduism:

Observing fast is a mental bondage due to which people of this country have lost their will to bring change in self.

How can God, who cannot have bath on His own, shower you with good fortune?

Performance of Satyanarayan puja’ is superstition !

Education based on science is required to break 5000 years old Indian traditions

There is nothing in the bill that cannot be handled by existing IPC laws on murder or cheating.

Clearly the hidden - or not so hidden - agenda of the Bill is to destroy Hinduism. Because the authors of the bill feel that faith in anything but what western science currently knows of is superstition. All they have done is take existing crimes and add any Hindu faith before it to taint the belief.

What are the consequences of this bill. Not just as the ordinance was issued ... but as it was envisaged.. and as they want it to be.

You cannot charge money for conducting a Homa - because you are exploiting someone for a superstitious belief

You will not be allowed to provide a horoscope matching service or print out horoscopes

All temples can be shut down because God is a superstition. All the Gold in the temples can be taken away. I believe this is one of the main motives behind the bill !

It is OK to kill animals by truckloads and eat them.. even hunt them... make leather garments and fur coats out of them. But if you say a prayer before cutting an animal up you could go to prison. Unless you are a Muslim of course, then you can kill goat by the millions.

If I do an Hindu astrology show on TV you can be arrested. But the millions of people who are exposed to Sun Signs and Moon Signs and Love Signs are OK because those have a Christian origin.

Many of what they call superstition - spiritual healing, water divining, talking to spirits etc - are real powers mentioned in our scriptures and are much more common than we are led to believe. But now all those people will become criminals and their population will disappear- much like the American Native Indians did.

The bill is an attempt by atheists to destroy Hinduism. The bill is a sugar coated virus trying to appear to be a social reform bill. All Hindu's should oppose the bill and all variations of it.

Hinduism is born of the faith in the statements of the ancients masters and scriptures that a higher consciousness exists and that human beings can continuously be in touch with that consciousness and that miracles happen all the time outside the purview of what can be proved scientifically. Having this faith and spreading it is protected by article 25 of the constitution of India. The people who believe in atheism and that everything in the world is pre-ordained or random and that life has no meaning are trying hard through this bill to pull down the foundations of Hinduism. The bill is a virus which is sugar coated to look like a social reform attempt. And anyone who feels they are a Hindu should oppose this bill and all variations of it.

Below is the stupid crap that got issued instead as an Anti Superstition ordinance in Maharashtra. And to top it all the Karnataka government wants to pass it here too - and the draft version of that is even more directly aimed at Hinduism.

Why is Hinduism not just another religion?

Atheism makes the terrain of life in to a dry dessert. The all encompassing franchise based religions make life into vast tracts of agricultural land that all look the same. Hinduism is a tropical forest - it is the collection of a vast number of precise solution traditions such as Siddha, Tantra and so on. That is why it defies being understood. That is why it is often approximated and called to be "a lifestyle".

How to be out of misery? is the question. All compassing answers are useful for debate. But not useful for moving forward. To move forward you to know precisely what to do next. Buddha's answer that all misery happens because of desire is all encompassing. So is the Vedantic statement that everything around you is an illusion. But it does not take you to the next step of what to do. Because there is no practical way to get rid of all desire. Many people spend their lives only dealing with all encompassing answers and feel cheated because their life is not transformed.

Mediocre minds cannot allow anything they don't understand to exist. The bulldozing and destruction of the collective of precise solution traditions just because they don't fall into a framework is the greatest damage done to humanity

-- Paramahamsa Nithyananda

Swami' Nityananda Talks On Finding the Right Solution
Sept 24, 2013

Another analogy that came to mind was..

A stranger comes to town and tells everyone that he has found a huge cave with treasure hidden in the forest far far away and can tell them how to go there.

The atheists tell him that he is lying and that they don't do anything without proof and they will not believe anyone because they have been cheated before. Some of them are lazy and out of laziness question why one should go after treasure in the first place.

The religious people instantly believe him.. but instead of going for the treasure they start planning on how to spend the money.. And at the end feel cheated because they are now deep in debt and there is no money. Every now and then, they beg from the stranger and get a little money from him.

The spiritual person believes in what the person says... but only so much as to start journeying towards the treasure. Yes it is belief.. but eventually getting the treasure is the proof. On the path, the rough directions given by the stranger may help you get started.. but they may be out of sync with it what is present now.

Hinduism is really the signs on the road and the people on the way who can direct you to the right path as you journey. It cannot be codified.. because it is not a fixed thing. It is what each person finds and the guides and sign posts that help them move through the current area they are in.. and more towards to the goal. That is why we say we have 33 crore Gods in Hinduism. Because each one's path in Hinduism is a unique Sampradhaya and each God represents that unique and wonderful journey.

I happened to meet a so called Hindutva leader and thinker over last weekend.. And it got me thinking. I now understand why Hinduism is weak. We do not have leaders who can stand up. We have leaders who are scared. Even if you are an intellectual and don't what to fight physically, you need to show courage in your speech and eyes. Instead I saw defeat and self loathing. Both covered up in and attempt at intellectualism. A defensive and apologetic approach to life.

No wonder Hinduism is in such a terrible shape. With leaders like this, the followers can't be too much better. As Vivekananda said. We need MEN. And that is what we are lacking..
The poverty of India is not in lack of resources. Not even in the fact that we are still ruled by a corrupt foreign government that is swindling the people of the country. Nor that our education system and media - which is more than 80% foreign owned - are working either actively or unconsciously against India's great culture and engaging in slandering our tradition and our Gurus in an attempt to cover up this conspiracy. Or that we are over populated - population in fact is really our only asset if only we look at ourselves the right way.. But more on that later. And certainly and surely, the problem is not that Indian women or temples keep gold with them because they distrust the economy as the current government would have us believe.
It is an amazing compilation of the attacks that India has faced over the last 1000 years - from the Muslims, through the Europeans, the British and all the way to current day where coca-cola and the church go hand in hand just as the East-India-Company and the missionaries did in the 1600s. While all the cruelty and torture done to Indians and the plunder of thousands of tons of gold and invaluable treasures from our country is just horrible...

The most terrible thing the foreign rulers did to India was to steal the confidence Indians had on themselves!

The moment we became poor was when we started believing that we were poor and backward! The slums and the dirty roads are just the side effects of this. And how did they manage to do this??? Well.. Just by this one thing!

By making people believe that Hinduism and India are two different things! And by making Indians believe that the stories of Hinduism are mythology and imaginations and not the history of India.

You may wonder how this single thing can cause all the problems we have today including all the abuse of women in India, the dirt on the roads, the corrupt excuse for a government that we have, the fact that the rupee is pegged at 68 times poorer against the dollar and so on! If you bear with me for bit more and read further I will share my understanding of why I feel this is so... and what the solution to this problem is!

When you disconnect an individual from his or her history, they lose a large part of their sense of identity and hence their confidence in themselves. The become rootless and sometimes ruthless!

Aliens attacking the White House.
From the Movie Independence-Day

Those familiar with psychology will know how this loss of confidence many times true for children coming from split homes. The same works for countries too! Countries behave the same way as people. For instance the US was created by people who were kicked out of their countries. So they got obsessed with the concept of Freedom. And feel that everyone around them - including aliens from other planets- are trying to invade them and have to be defended against! Likewise England being a tiny country and Napoleon being a tiny man made them both try to compensate for that by becoming colonialists and conquering the rest of the world. They re-write history - including things like inventing an Aryan invasion theory to denigrate India - making it look like that this is the natural way human beings behave. But in reality it is just the way people with low self esteem behave. Trying to appear bigger than they are. Trying to grab power and fame and so on..

So coming back to India, India as a country has a consciousness. And that consciousness lost its self confidence when it's history was stolen from it. And we tried to make some self worth from the short history during the past 50 years. But this only makes us feel inferior to the baby cultures that are just a few hundred years old. We try to get some "Indian Pride" by watching 11 bumbling idiots try to hit a red ball with a stick.. and fail miserably...
Not so long ago, India was the greatest nation in the world in terms of technical innovation, art, philosophy and standard of living of its people. It is the richness and abundance of India that attracted a constant stream of invaders. It is the earliest of all civilizations and still is the only ancient civilization that has continued through the past thousands of years. India is the source of decimal mathematics, the source of all Indo-European languages, of all the world philosophies, the science of buildings cities and what not. But today, we condescendingly call ourselves a "developing" country. We rank quite low on many metrics that we are measured against by other countries. We are told that we have a lot of progress to make.. .

But the basic question now is "Why did we disconnect from our history"?? This was partly because of the false idea of secularism promoted by our near sighted rulers - where instead of celebrating the achievements of every part of India, they dumb-ed ourselves down the to lowest common denominator.

But a more deeper problem exists...

The deeper cause for the disconnection is that much of what is talked about in our history such as miracles and amazing powers and technology are no longer our experience!!!

We hear of such big abilities - flying machines, ability of people to read minds, to see things happening far away, transport objects and people across large spaces etc etc - but we don't see these in our daily lives - not even exhibited in a small scale. And when some parts of the history are made to be doubted, pretty much all of it becomes suspect. And people start ignoring everything that was said there. Thus begins the battle between those who believe and the so called rationalists.

This loss of technology happened because of the ideas we ourselves had about such technology being harmful to spiritual progress. Instead raising the depth of our awareness and intelligence along with the powers, we gave into fear and dropped propagating many of these abilities. While the renunciation of the ancients came from them seeing a deeper truth, when people today denounce these powers they do so out of their inabilities. Renunciation can happen only from a position of power. Those who are weak and in self doubt cannot renounce.

Another cause for the loss of technology is that the British cleverly destroyed the Gurukul system of teaching where people with extraordinary abilities were continuously produced. At least enough of them to show you that such extraordinary beings like Krishna, Rama and Hanuman might have been possible. And are not just a figment of someone's imagination.

The good news is ... All this is going to change!
Thanks to one person. Who is reviving back many of the astounding powers or siddhis that are talked about in our puranas.. and also having them validated scientifically. To date he has demonstrated through his disciples - and I along with hundreds of others have been witness to each of it - many secret powers that were hither to only shown to select few people - materialization and teleportation of objects, levitation, living without food, reading the cosmic records to find out about the past and future etc. The following image was taken from the tests done under CAT scan showing materialization happening. For the first time in history, these abilities are being made reproducible and tested scientifically and validated!
This is why millions of dollars were spent on making a fake video to malign him and millions more to spread it. If you follow this link you will see how all the evidence in the courts including testimonials from FBI approved video experts and the medical records of the false victim who has very easily communicable serious STDs show that the case against him is fabricated. Another person who charged Swamiji with homosexuality is in prison in the US for 5 years for child molestation charges - and he had accused Swamiji just to turn attention away from his case. The ex-COO of Sun-TV Hansraj Saxena has publicly confessed to Sun-TV having doctored the scandal video. This is why the CID is not moving on the case though its been 3 years since charges were filed! All this attack on him is because it is HE who can take revive India and take it back to its glorious traditions.
And you don't have to take my word for it. If you are sincere you can see many of this happening directly if you come to the ashram in Bidadi where he conducts this course called Inner Awakening that will reveal many wonderful things to you. You will understand beyond even these technological marvels, what the Vedic civilization stood for. Only then will we be able to appreciate the things that we have. How we are making progress towards the things that matter even if we might not have the tallest buildings or the largest rockets. Only then will we stop being poor.

This is the only way India is going to regain her glory. When you reject parts of your history - especially the glorious part - you automatically accept the modern scientists are being superior and from then on we need their validation for everything. We stop trusting our own experiences. We always need a white man to say it. And day by day we end up looking to the west for approval. We follow their culture because we think that is good.

There is no absoluteness in wealth. When you make the other want what you have, you become rich and they become poor.
Even when some people try in vain to glorify our past, it rings hollow because parts of our minds are still filled with self doubt. In the end we do not make progress because we are confused. We take no pride in what we make because we don't have pride in ourselves. Given that manufacturing is in bad shape and because what we want is dictated by what the other people say is cool, we rely on other counties for many things. This balance of payments (article by Gurumurthy) makes us look poor.
We are so concerned about catching up with other countries in consumption, warfare and what not that we - both as people and as a government - have not handled the critical issues of education, food and shelter for all our people which should have been our first priority! And by that I don't only mean doing charity work - for charity only keeps people eternally poor. I mean raising the consciousness of people so that these things issues don't arise at all. We should be producing so much that the problem on hand is figuring out what to do with all the excess.

This is why our economy is in a terrible shape. The government - made up of the same people with no self respect - have given up on solving the problem or even understanding it. They keep printing money because they know nothing else. They also focus on stealing as much as they can for themselves and stashing it outside the country. Inflation is a secret tax on people holding the Rupee. The tax doesn't affect the netas because all their money is in dollars or Euros. People don't trust themselves or the government and hence want to hold onto gold. That is a symptom. Not the problem. This is why the rupee is at 68, 70 or 100 or whatever.

Poverty is nothing but lack of self worth. And anyone who doesn't respect where they came from disrespects a large part of themselves.

With self respect, we will create things of extraordinary value out of joy and completion. We will take pride in what we produce and we will pay attention to the needs of others and focus our energies on the things that matter. We will not tolerate people living in poverty or suffering due to lack of food or knowledge.

The solution fundamentally is the inner awakening of all Indians to the truth of our history and the truth of our inner selves - which is what our civilization was all about. Understanding that the powers of the inner world are much greater than the powers the come from outside - even in material terms. First understanding.. and then experiencing that we have these powers... and THEN going beyond it. When each person understands this, they will understand that we are not poor as we have been made to believe. Our greatness comes not by comparison but by who we are. In the things that matter, we are a very rich country. That we are children of immortality and the favorites of the cosmos. Brahmanyam Bahuputrataam. And that we have a lot to offer to the our neighbors and to the world!
